Vote for Your Favorite Innovative Green Office Product

Staples 2nd Annual Global EcoEasy Challenge is a competition for university students to create the most innovative eco friendly office supplies. Promoted by Staples, Inc. and the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), this international challenge responds to increasing global awareness and sustainability.

 

The six finalists represent Ireland, India, China, Singapore, and the U.S. This year, the public can vote for their favorite innovative green product starting on March 8, 2011 thru March 22, 2011. A panel will judge the ideas on April 12, 2011 and present award the following day in Washington, D.C. Scores will be based on votes counted by the public and the judges. The first place team will win $25,000 with the two runner ups winning $5,000 a piece.

    The prize money is nice, but I wonder if staples will commit to selling the six finalists' designs / products should the items go into production. Hope so!
